Newsletter 11 September 2013

11 September 2013 Term 3 Week 7 13/28

Dear Parents & Caregivers
Kia ora koutou katoa

Upcoming Events
Yesterday afternoon my daughter who is in Room 3 brought home what seemed like a pile of notices from school: Polyfest; Flippaball; Scholastic Books to name a few! As a parent I find that sometimes there is so much going on I just cannot take it all in let alone keep up with it!

Nevertheless and on the positive side it is great that there are so many opportunities available to our children - today I see out of my office window the Y6 children scooting about on the weird and wacky bikes made by a couple of retired Southland farmers who now live in Arrowtown. And in the hall Mrs Hesson’s class are getting cricket coaching from an Otago cricket rep.

So, let’s celebrate all the activities and experiences our children receive. And there is more to come! Next week is Polyfest for those in the senior block (and the bi-lingual class children), Thursday at 1.00ish at the Edgar Centre.

The junior performances are next week. This show is held in the school hall and to ensure all parents can attend there are two shows for families - on Wednesday 18 September at 2pm and 6.30pm.

Kia Kaha tatou Katoa ki te tautoko o tatou tamariki, mokopuna hoki.
