School Photos
School photos are being held on Thursday morning. Class and individual photos will be taken for every child (except when a parent has indicated they don’t want an individual photo taken). Family and/or sibling photos will be taken before school provided a form has been completed and returned to the office. Photos will be taken in the library if it is wet.

Assembly
The next assembly will be held on Friday 30 September at 12pm in the library. The assembly will be led by R5 with items by R5 and R8.

Stars on Stage DVD
Orders and payment for the Stars on Stage DVD close this Wednesday. DVDs cost $20 and cover all 4 nights. Please make cheques payable to Stars on Stage.

Smart Food Lunches – Price Increase
All Smart Food lunches have had a price increase of .50c.

Scholastic Book Club
Issue 6 leaflets have been sent home today. Orders with money need to be into the office by next Wednesday 28 September. Please make cheques payable to Scholastic NZ.

Elections
Enrolment forms to vote in the upcoming General Election were sent home with last week’s newsletter. If you are not enrolled and fill out this form and return it to the school office, the school will earn $6 per enrolment! So please, if you are not enrolled, or your details have changed since the last election, help the school and enrol.

Otago Polytechnic Sports Institute Fun Evening
Students from the Sports Institute have organised a fun cooking evening for families on Thursday 6 October at 6pm. The information is on the back of this newsletter. Numbers are limited so put your name down at the office as soon as possible.

Moving Planet Day: Saturday 24 September. Transition Valley 473 is holding a bike fix-it and low-carbon transport display at DNI from 10am to 1pm. Then move onto the Dunedin 350 Festival at the Botanic Gardens from 12.30-3pm. Interactive stalls, live music, learn to live sustainably and reduce your carbon footprint.

Come to a free and informative cooking evening that is fun for the whole family. Learn new ideas and skills in the kitchen.

WHAT: Healthy food evening with a mystery cooking class.

WHERE: Logan Park High School Home Economics room.

WHEN: Thursday 6th October, 6pm start.

WHO: Your household, children welcome.

WHAT NOW: Leave your details at North East Valley Normal school reception now as places limited.



Each family will receive a free mystery box with ingredients for the meal we will be cooking together. There will be an information session to stimulate our brains before the hands and taste buds start to work on our tasty food.
