Dear Parents & Caregivers
Kia ora koutou katoa
Swine Flu
The school has had a number of reports of school family members with swine flu-like symptoms and just yesterday a confirmed case amongst the staff. Please be aware that this flu is around our community and can endanger those who have existing medical issues. Please keep your child at home if he or she has the flu. I have been told that the medical authorities are not interested in diagnosing whether people have the swine flu – I would advise parents to ignore this and get your child to a doctor and insist the doctor make a thorough diagnosis. The reports I have from people who have this flu is that it is a particularly nasty bug to have.
