Dear Parents & Caregivers

Keeping Safe in the Valley and at School
From time to time our community constable informs us of suspicious activity in the Valley. We had one such report last week - a member of the public noticed an odd looking male taking photos of children in their street. The community constable used this report to urge schools to: -
  • remind children about safety in and around school and in the community generally;
  • remind parents to talk to their children about keeping themselves and their friends safe when they are playing on the street or heading to and from school.
Our community constable, Lou France, recommends calling her immediately if you see anything
suspicious on 473 0737, or Dunedin Central on 471 4800 or dial 111 if you fear for someone's safety.

I will ask teachers to revisit the issues of personal safety with their classes and also be particularly
vigilant while on duty during breaks.

Kia Kaha tatou Katoa ki te tautoko o tatou tamariki, mokopuna hoki.

John McKenzie
Principal
